A resident of Brookfield since 1986, I have lived in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Ohio and settled in the Milwaukee area in 1978. I think I can see issues from many different perspectives.

Getting started

Well, I finally bit the bullet and started a blog. I hope to become more informed about City of Brookfield government and pass that knowledge on to the readers here. As a candidate for Alderman in the 3rd District, I hope to hear what you think needs attention in Brookfield. My goal is to start attending Council meetings as of February 5, 2008.

The next blog will be a bit longer and have more information about my background.

Hi Jack, well you sure are starting off on the right foot. While I do not live in your district I will certainly appreciate your constructive thoughts. I would hope that you do not sink to the level of mud slinging and bitterness that has been shown by others in the community.

Personal attacks rather than constructive commentary is never appreciated by the vast majority of voters. Discussing issues is where it is at. What your position may be on a particular issue as well as what your constituents are reflecting to you is really important. There always is difference of opinion but it can be expressed with out personal attacks. Good Luck on your race to city hall.

From your background it appears as though you have strong ties to the business community as well as previous community service. I think that is a good thing. It seems as though some people are anti-business but just really do not realize what business does for a community. An all residential community does not run well. So I would hope to see you expressing your knowledge to all of us on a professional level because of your past experience. Good luck once again.
