Funny, Roxanne, and true! Just because I don't mind sharing details about my life does not mean my family wants to do the same. Ditto on the photos. We Brookfieldnow bloggers have our pictures out in cyberspace, but our families probably wouldn't appreciate theirs go out there too.

Happy birthday Roxanne! As one of your 40-almost-41-year-old friends, I can honestly say you would look very good in that car, whether it be black or red! That being said, there is nothing wrong with the old minivan, given the precious cargo it carries on a daily basis.

Sounds to me like you need a spa day!

It's how YOU feel, not how others suggest you should feel, look, act, etc. Be how you feel; what you want yourself to be. There is no "standard". Ya wanna be old...well, ya probably will be. Age is just a state of mind. You have plenty of really great years ahead of you.

Roxanne - you're a youngster! At the age of 72, Douglas MacArthur conceived of, planned, and personally led the battle of Inchon, which turned the tide of battle in Korea and stands today as one of the most audaciously brilliant campaigns in history. He wrote in his memopirs that, "age is more a state of mind than a chronological reality". I try and remind myself of that comment when I do my morning stretching!!

Thanks for the review Roxanne! I've eaten there twice and enjoyed it

very much. They do actually have a nice selection of organic wines

available and I'm told will be opening an outdoor patio for dining

once the weather cooperates.

Thanks, Cindy. Interesting statistic regarding the red meat. Lest people be worried, I am trying to make changes and am even considering the whole yoga thing again -- God help me. Or maybe pilates. I've heard good things about that.

Roxanne, I tell you, the MJS did themselves a disservice when they didn't call you!

I heard on the radio the other day that if we ate 20% less red meat, it's the equivalent environmental impact of switching from an SUV to a small hybrid. Maybe it's the little changes that will make a difference. The restaurant concept is an interesting one, indeed. Your review certainly makes it worth considering.

And I agree with you about yoga.

I have not been there yet, had a similar experience as you did at Monsoon and never went back. I'd be interested to hear other third party opinions of the food and service. Not that I don't believe you Roxanne, but it's obvious that the owner, and therefore staff knew who you were. That always clouds my judgement, because they can take very personal care of you and service levels/food are 'guaranteed' to be good. There's something to be said for the anonymity Getto had.

WOW! I was there on Tuesday and the food/decor/service were all fantastic! I am so excited about this all veggie menu, and really, I think the menu is strong enough to attract both veggie and non veggie customers. GREAT JOB!!!!!

Roxanne--I heard some filming will also be done at the Milwaukee Historical Society in March. The Historical Society building was originally a bank. Johnny and Christian may not be in Brookfield, but they are supposed to be in downtown Milwaukee. Keep your eyes peeled!

Like a lot of men I suppose, I long viewed Depp as little more than a teen idol and pop-figure. But the first film I saw him in was Donnie Brasco, and I knew then he also had to be viewed as a serious acting talent. His struggle to retain his real identity while working under deep cover to penetrate the mob, and his metamorphosis into a deeply conflicted man with one foot in two different worlds, was tremendous.

I was excited to visit Cafe Manna over the weekend and am pleased to say that it lived up to my expectations. The atmosphere and service was wonderful and the food delicious. I highly recommended it for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

All the youngsters are drawn like a moth to the flame by the baloney being spit out by Obama. If he gets a Senate with 60 votes, you'll find out how much his "charisma" is going to cost you. Don't be fooled by appearances...look at the record and decide if you really want to pay the bill. Remember "government" is you when it comes to paying the bills or suffering inflation caused by government just printing more worthless money like they are doing with these stupid rebates.
