State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. The United States Census Bureau estimates Wisconsin's 2005 population at 5,536,201. Governor Doyle's budget includes an estimated tax and fee increase of $1.75 billion.
That means every man, woman and child in Wisconsin would pay $316.10 to pay for Governor Doyle's opportunity budget. The cost for a family of four is $1,264.40.
