Strange Headline

I apologize for being a bit slow on the blogging as of late.

I thought this headline and picture from 620 WTMJ's website would make you laugh.  What seems out of place to you?

Steve,

Maybe I've just been a cheesehead for TOO long, but what are those Catholic references doing in the same picture as Brett Favre?

(...just kidding...stop looking for pitchforks and firebrands!)

http://tinyurl.com/5ut8ea is a well-done tribute to our 'local' hero!

Steve,

About 1/2 way through the article (which I hadn't actually read before my previous comment) are a couple of lines that KIND OF explain the picture!

**************************************************

Brett Favre, the legendary Packers quarterback, is not showing up in Washington D.C. to meet with the pontiff, but Favre, who's Catholic has taped a message for the Pontiff's Thursday Mass at Nationals Park in D.C.

This is Pope Benedict's first trip to the U.S., and Dolan says, just like you shouldn't compare Aaron Rodgers to Favre, you shouldn't compare the newest pope to his predecessor, John Paul II.

"He's his own man, and he recognizes it," says Dolan.
