Save the Planet .... Abort Your Child....

By Janet Evans

Meet the women who won't have babies -
because they're not eco friendly

“Had Toni Vernelli gone ahead with her pregnancy ten years ago, she would know at first hand what it is like to cradle her own baby, to have a pair of innocent eyes gazing up at her with unconditional love, to feel a little hand slipping into hers - and a voice calling her Mummy. But the very thought makes her shudder with horror. Because when Toni terminated her pregnancy, she did so in the firm belief she was helping to save the planet.”

Read the full story here from the       Daily Mail    ◄

Quotes from another Enviro-nutcase in the article, Sara Irving:

"I realised then that a baby would pollute the planet - and that never having a child was the most environmentally friendly thing I could do."

What I consider mad are those women who ferry their children short distances in gas-guzzling cars."

What is WRONG with these women?

Aborting your baby to save the planet?  Right ....

You made a big difference, didn't you, Toni?

Maybe your baby would have been the next great scientist.

Fine if you don't want to have any more children in the future.

It's probably better for the world that YOU are not a parent in the first place.

I have heard of many reasons to abort a child, but this one really has me "Unglued."

"When I tell people why I don't want children, they look at me as if I was planning to commit murder. "

You Toni are either fooling yourself, or you are a selfish freak of the environment you want to protect . . . .

A baby is not a disposable item for the environment . . . .

Alright ...  so go back up and read the article if you didn't.

Then, let's get ready for the DEBATE.

I know there will be one.

 WHAT DO YOU THINK???????????

They're insane.

But Janet, you and I are the RADICAL ones.

Kevin,

I agree, they are insane.

I thought I would hang back before I commented to see how many people looked the this post.  I wish I could tell who were the RADICAL viewers, the conservatives, the liberals . . . wouldn't that be nice?

I just don't see how ANYONE wouldn't be appalled after reading about Toni Vernelli.

If  I never commented on this site before, this would be my time to be setting up an account.

How can you not have an opinion on what this woman has done?

O.K….. you have an opinion, but how can you not want to voice it?

I plan on putting this on my WISN agenda today.

Great idea - I can't wait to hear the comments.

MAYBE a liberal eco-environmental-nut will phone home.

I know, and here too.  That's what makes it INTERESTING!

Oh, boy.  This just rubs me the wrong way!!!!

You're right, Janet.  The loss of her baby, the abortion of her baby, did not improve the world in any way.  It was a loss all the way around.

How sad there are people who think like this woman.

Yes, please, do not have any children in the future.  But someone would have gladly taken your baby.  Ignorance is bliss.

An English, Roman Catholic ... an Environmentalist at age 15 ....

It doesn't explain when she turned away from her religion.  But the story indicates she was religious.  But then divorce, sleeping around, the abortion.  Something screwy with this one.  I think she considers women to be more breeders than parents.

First of all, this is the DAILY MAIL, folks. They really dig for the daffiest of the daffy. Look where they found Toni, Sarah and Mark. Think of all the people they interviewed who weren't bizarre enough to make the cut.

Having noted that, if you present "saving the planet" as your reason for not wanting children, fine by me. They probably need to get out more, but still, fine by me. "Just don't wanna" is fine by me. No reason at all is fine by me. I just don't see any reason to get all heated, unglued even, because someone wants to live life their way and it's not quite the way I live mine.

Well, I agree the Daily Mail is more of a tabloid paper, but that has nothing to do with the facts of the story.  It is FACT.

And not wanting to have children, O.K., FINE.  But to abort a baby in the name of saving the planet, PLEASE.

She has a screw loose.  We are talking about a human life.  Have you EVER heard of this reason for aborting a baby before?

If she is worried about putting disposable diapers into a landfill - wash some old fashioned cloth ones out.  My mother did.

To L. Washington (if that's your real name):

First let me say your familiar verboseness and other mannerisims of speech, especially after another blogger has banned (and outed the identity of) a certain individaul, whom I also do not allow on my blog, made me wary of leaving your comment.  In the end, I was forced to remove your comment due to your "alias" selection of your first name, as it was disrespectful.

Unfortunately your attempt at making a counter-argument failed.  Maybe that's because if I am correct in my thinking of who your identity really is, you have no heart and can't see that this woman had an abortion for a reason that could not make a difference.  Abort a baby to save the enviroment.

Your argument that everyday parent's and mother's "throw away their children" does not stand.  Those women had their children.  They are sick or evil people after the fact.  Kind of like a person I now who leaves comments on our blogs who goes by the alias of "Unfettered Candor"" who would speak of doing horrible things to children on Halloween.

Do not leave another comment on my blog whether your name be "UC" or "L. Washington." or "L. Christian."

And shame on you for trying to hide behind THAT alias.

So if Toni doesn't want children, she's either "fooling herself" or is a "selfish freak"? Bahahahaha. Maybe you ought to socialize a little outside your church and sewing circle, hon. LOTS of us women don't want kids. We don't even *like* them.

As for all the pro-liar arguments here...please. I especially love "Maybe your baby would have been the next great scientist," in near-histrionic bold and italic. Right, "OMG UR CHYYULD WILL KURE KANSER!!" Or maybe her kid would've been the next Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy.

Don't you fetus-huggers ever come up with original arguments? Or do you just keep repeating the tripe you're fed in church and on the reich-wing websites you visit? Oh, wait, I know the answer. The more often you repeat a lie, the more likely the gullible, brainwashed, and stupid among us will come to regard it as Gospel Truth™.

Go ahead, delete me for being "disrespectful," you pious, pearl-clutching control freak.

Janet Evans

Childfree and Glad,

You can not like children all you want.   It's a free country.  You don't sound like you would make a very good parent anyway.  At least not a loving one.  More the type who would raise a Dahmer or Bundy.  Better you stay away from children.

The main argument with Toni is that she has an abortion in the name of saving the planet - which is bogus.

I don't care if Toni and her cohorts do not have children in the future.  Do I think she is nuts for her belief that she shouldn't have them to protect the environment?  YES!  And I think she is a FREAK.

Me, pious, pearl-clutching?  Not even close.  My CHILDREN, whom I chose to not abort and are great contributors to society, when they read that, will be rolling around laughing!

"Kure Kanser,"   "reich-wing,"  cute, very cute ....  just like you.

Me a freak?  Oh, you're original.

I'll leave your comment up, the real world needs to know what lurks out there between us.  The evil people like you.  It's on the edge of deletion though.

November 25, 2007 9:44 AM

Childfree and GLAD

Bahahaha. "The evil people like you." Thank you for proving my point, dear.

Why, because I don't like rugrats? I guess so... "You don't sound like you would make a very good parent anyway. At least not a loving one." Yeah, because everybody who *does* decide to breed is a wuvving mommy and daddy. Which would explain why, if you Google News on phrases like "two-year-old" or "three-year-old," you see so many abuse cases.

But yeah, a woman who decides to get an embryo scraped out of her is MUCH worse than a woman who beats an ACTUAL CHILD black and blue. Oh, wait....it's because she didn't get punished for having sex, right? Whereas at least the child-abuser has suffered the consequences -- ooops, I mean, "been given a Precious Gift from Gawwwwwwwd" -- for having knocked boots with someone.

Damn, it makes my brain hurt, to try to think like a reich-winger.

ChildFree,

You've made your UGLY point.  You've pushed it far enough.  Your comments are all too familiar of one who has been banned from our sites and one who uses a different alias on a couple of the sites, which is against the new policy rules for commenting.

I have no problem with you stating a valid point against mine.  I have a problem with you being offensive to other readers.

WARNING ****

If you would like to comment again, I would leave out a couple of the offensive terms you are using.  If you can't figure out what those are, all of your comments will be deleted.
