There have been many television documentary programs that have shown exactly what it takes to pull-off a controlled implosion of a building. There is a tremendous amount of engineering needed. Structural columns need to be weakened and shape charges of very specific strentgh and type need to be placed a very specific locations. Detonation cord and wiring need to be run all over the place and then connected to timer controlled detonation consoles. The charges need to be set-off at very specific times and in a very specific order. Of course all of this was done without anyone noticing it happening. Yeah right! Why implode the building anyhow? Why not just blow it up. From what I've seen in the past, most of the time the idiots who do that sort of thing have trouble with that seemingly much simpler task.
