Immigration issue? What issue?

Remember when the Democratic candidates were sweating bullets over the fact that immigration was going to be a hot topic brought up by Republican candidates during the election campaign?

It started out that way.

A year ago there were some tough questions being asked of candidates.

Now with John McCain set to be the GOP's nomination, it looks like the immigration debate is all but over.

McCain is pretty much on the same playing field as Obama and Clinton.

Guest workers....

Fines and penalties....

Just another soft approach to the problem of illegal immigrants.

And a slap in the face to those immigrants who have done it the right way.
