Sarah Palin said she didn't blink when John McCain asked her to be his running mate.

She had an interview Thursday with ABC News' Charlie Gibson, and the 44-year-old Palin was asked if she felt ready to step in as vice president ...or even president if something happened to the 72-year-old McCain.
Sarah Palin says she's ready:  "You can't blink. You have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on. ... So I didn't blink then, even when asked to run as his running mate."

Does anyone remember James Stockdale in the V.P. debates way back when?

That's how uncomfortable it felt watching this interview.

Truly remarkable.

Give me a break, Josh.  You're grasping at straws.

Which part did you like best?  Palin's knowledge of the Bush Doctrine, her foreign policy experience (shipping oil to the lower 48), her straight-forward answer regarding the legitimacy of our operations in Pakistan or the fact that she's been off the continent of North America a grand total of once?

It doesn't matter anyway.  Most people are more worried about whether or not Gibson was too mean to her.  You know, the important stuff.
