The Hales Corners Library has a new set of introductory computer classes beginning May 17th. All classes are held in the library starting at 8:45 a.m. and ending at 10 a.m.
The upcoming series starts off with Getting Started on the Computer, held on Thursday, May 17th. This class is an introduction to computer basics, aimed to help you be more comfortable using a computer. The class is currently full but anyone interested will be put on a waiting list.
The second class in the series is Getting Started on CountyCat, held on Thursday, May 24th. In this class you will learn how to search for materials on CountyCat, the library's online catalog, how to request materials online, and how to use other fun and useful features of CountyCat.
The third class in the series is Getting Started on the Internet, held on Friday, June 1st. Through this class you will learn the basics of the Internet and Internet searching.
The final class in the series is Getting Started on E-mail, held on Friday, June 8th. Here you will learn the many features of e-mail and you will also create your own Yahoo! e-mail account.
Space is still available in the final three classes so do not hesitate to sign up! Register at the Information Desk in the library. A $5 refundable fee will be charged. The fee will be refunded upon attending the class or canceling with at least two day's notice.
