If you love reading, and are interested in participating in lively book discussions, check out the book groups that meet at the Hales Corners Library.
The library currently hosts two book discussion groups, one on Monday afternoons and one on Tuesday evenings. The Monday group meets the fourth Monday of each month, February through November, and the second Monday in December from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The February, April, September and November sessions are led by Jo McReynolds-Blochowiak. The remaining sessions are librarian-led.
The Tuesday group is peer-led and meets the second Tuesday of each month, January through November, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The book selections for each group are sure to interest a variety of readers. For the Monday book group, upcoming selections include
Suite Francaise by Irene Nemiorvsky (on June 25),
Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl (on July 23), and
