Maple & Main

Curt is Chicago native – but don’t hold that against him. After stops in Madison and California, he and his wife moved to Waukesha in 2004 to open their own downtown business.

There are a whole lot of REALLY good things going on in downtown Waukesha this weekend (in addition to the good things that are always going on).

First, some of the artists from Otto’s Art Academy are displaying their work at the Allison Art House, over on Brook St (right next door to Walgreens, downtown).

An artist reception is planned for Friday, March 23rd from 6 to 8PM. Stop by for the opportunity to meet the artists and, if you like, purchase some of their work.

The student artwork will be on display there until the end of March.

When they aren’t hosting gallery nights for our students, The Allison Art House is host to scores of beautiful artwork done by area artists. The artwork changes frequently, so be sure to stop by often.

In addition to the reception, tonight begins the second annual “Spring Inspirations” event downtown.

All weekend, you are invited to join experts for exciting demonstrations, tastings, and seminars in participating businesses as they cover the season’s trends in home décor, fashion, entertainment, and indulgences.

Check www.downtownwaukesha.com for more information regarding this event.

Rain may be in the forecast, but what better way to celebrate spring than to step outside and enjoy the showers that bring May flowers.

Beats 10 inches of snow any day.
