Paul's Falls

I have lived in the Falls since 1968. My great-great grandfather was one of the village founders. I have served the community in multiple ways: Firefighter, various boards and commissions and for many years was president of the Falls Cable Access Corp. Currently I own, and am active in, a restaurant equipment manufacturing company.

Shutting Down Government - A Short Blog

Broadcast news tonight reports that Governor Doyle is considering curtailing some State of Wisconsin programs if a budget can not be passed soon.

Amen.

As an independent voter with Libertarian leaning, all I can say is "Bring it on."

It is wakeup time for the pols. For example, the Miller loss should be a major eye opener.  Our business taxpayers will flee to elsewhere if the state taxes make them unable to compete with those in states without the cash drain of  our capricious state spending.

Right-ON!

Agreed Mr.Wickesburg.  If only you had the same opinions when it comes to local politics.  While I admire and hope you continue your current position on Doyle and the budget...one could only hope people like you would see the light on local politics.  No one said you were perfect! At least you are backing up your statements with a picture and your name now.   Seriously though, this budget issue premise continues on the local level.  We in the falls will not attract businesses/restaurants or corporations with a negative business climate, this should be thought about constantly, especially during the perception of "bad economy" we are experiencing.
