Practically Speaking

Kyle and her husband moved to Brookfield in 1986. She became active in local politics and started blogging in 2004. Her focus is primarily on local issues but often includes state and national topics, too. Kyle looks at things from the taxpayers’ perspective in a creative, yet down to earth way, addressing them from a practical point of view.

It's time for the silent majority to make their presence known and say "thank you" and encourage these same members to do the right thing regarding the "really big shew" (Ed Sullivan) known as "the referendum".  They need to oppose Matt Gibson's agenda, and do what is good for the taxpayers in addressing the NEEDS of the high schools.  Let them know you appreciate a rare person in elected office who actually represents our interests!

I forgot to state that the members who voted "Yes" demonstrated that they are in lockstep with Gibson and they need to face "taxpayer friendly" opponents in the next election.  I also think Gibson showed that he is no the superintendent that Elmbrook needs.  He has an agenda that brooks no opposition.  It's time for a new board that will either get him onboard or replace him.  I actually see no hope for him as he has proven to be ineffective on almost every issue that matters to us.

INTEWEDM - I really encourage you to attend a High School Listening session.  I was pessimistic and thought the plans might be full of fluff but was impressed to see how much work has gone into assessing the NEEDS of the schools.
