This class is focused on crafts and designed to familiarize children 6-14 years with a variety of different mediums used in creating art – ranging from pencils, paints, clay fabric, plaster, paper mache and much more. A smock or old shirt is suggested.

Spike your way to success! Discover volleyball at its best! Participants will receive instruction and training in the basic individual skills of passing, setting, serving, spiking, blocking, and floor defense, as well as an introduction to team defense and team offense. The DAYTIME T-BALL BASEBALL INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM is again being offered for boys and girls ages 4-6. Classes and games will be held on Wednesday evening from July 7-10 at Rawson Field. The class will meet at 9:15-10:30am.
T-ball is the same as baseball, only played without a pitcher. A soft type of baseball is used in this program and players will receive instruction on rules, fielding, running, batting, throwing, and conditioning. Players should provide their own fielder's glove and wear tennis shoes.

Children 6-14 years can explore the world of art in this fun and colorful camp. Camp is designed with summer FUN in mind. Children will be creating summer projects with construction paper, glue, markers, crayons, paints, and more.

Experience the basic skills and etiquette of cheerleading and discover new and exciting routines set to music with the aid of pompon. The participants also learn the newest jump, yells and cheers. The Rawson Field will be the site of the annual Archery Tournament. The tournament will be held Friday, July 25 for boys and girls in the following age brackets: 12 and under; 13-16; and an open division. The tournament will begin at 1:15pm however, 13-16 and the open division may report at 2:30pm.
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, while Ribbons will be awarded for 4th, 5th, and 6th place.
The event is sponsored by the South Milwaukee Recreation Department. Don't miss out on all the fun - see your playground director for more information. You may register at 12:45 PM the day of the tourney. There will be a $2.00 resident per player, and $3.00 non-resident per player participant entry fee – this fee is payable prior to participation at the tournament site. DANCE MOVEMENT CAMP will provide students with an excellent opportunity to develop body coordination as well as being exposed to various forms of dance and movements to include ballet, jazz, etc. Campers will meet the week of Monday-Thursday, July 21-24 in the Middle School MPR & Stage and room 3603. Archery Camp is set up to introduce children to the sport of archery as well as to reinforce skills and techniques already acquired. Fundamentals, rules, and safety will be featured. This camp will be held at the Rawson Field, Monday through Thursday, July 21-24 Archers ages 6-8 will meet from 9:15-10:30am.; while archers 9 year & older will meet from 10:30-11:45am. The Recreation Department will provide the necessary archery equipment for participants who do not have their own.

 Soccer Camp is designed to introduce children to the game of soccer as well as to reinforce skills and techniques acquired at previous camps or in physical education class. Rules of the game and drills on ball handling, trapping, dribbling, passing, shooting, and team work are featured. Emphasis will be placed on having fun while learning the fundamentals through games and drills. Players will be divided into teams and weekly games will be held for the purpose of strengthening skills. Camp will be held at Rawson Field, Mon-Thu, July 14-17, from 9:15 - 10:30am for boys and girls 4 - 8 years of age.
