Brewers need our support

The Brewers are nearing the end of a good baseball season both for the fans, the players and management. This is a young team that has tasted adversity and are battling back from it. The talent is certainly there and the recent change in leadership will give the players an opportunity to know where they stand.

When Harvey Kuenn was the manager the Brewers were most successful because he was a veteran major league all star, a local product and was in tune with the players.

But baseball is baseball and the goal is to score more runs than your opponent.

A nervous or anxious player cannot perform under pressure. Players must be relaxed, confident and have focus on every move they make on the field.

Most of all the players need big time fan support not only at Miller Park but from the entire state in every form possible, including the press.

There will be enough criticism and coaching from within the team.

This is the time for everyone in the Brewer network to openly show their support for a team that is so very close to the goals we want them to achieve.

After all, this is our one and only major league baseball team.

No more boo birds at the game.

Yeah, It must be tough to be relaxed, confident, and focused on only a few million a year. Oh, the stress of it all!

I agree with Mick.  These guys are paid ridiculous salaries and for that they can be expected to perform without us babying them!  They collapse every year at the end of the season, but they still draw their enormous salaries.  It's time for them to produce for the fans...not the other way around.  Maybe Yost was too much of a "mommy" to them and they don't know how to do the job they are paid to do!

Baseball is an original American sport, once the national pastime, so much that the young and old love it. We played baseball as kids and it was the ultimate adventure. The players do not have sound waves or high tech background like the "rock" stars who earn much more for their antics. Television is the paymaster and the team owners bow down to it.

If you ever played then game then you have an opinion. If not, then as an observer or a fan you still have an opinion, but only as an observer or a fan. We need both and everyone to support our very own major league team which represents our community. The youth of our community would be very disappointed if the Brewers left, as once was the case with the Braves. Some like hockey, soccer, football and pool, to name a few. I am a former baseball player and love it. So, lets all get on board and root for the home team.
