Will Sendik's open tomorrow?

"Easily."

That's what a Sendik's official told me as final preparations are being made for Wednesday's official 10 am opening.

From what I saw, Sendik's could have opened today.

Just about everything is in place.

Great looking meat and seafood were gently being put in their displays. And I mean great-looking.

Those Hungarian sausages and stuffed chicken breasts caught my eye.

One reader asked about live lobsters. Yes, there they are, swimming in their own tank.

And over in the liquor department, my cousin Doug’s Rehorst Vodka and Gin.

Franklin, you're going to love this food market.

Is it just me, or does Sendick’s parking lot seem a “tad” small for such a nicely adorned “big box” full-service grocery store, or should I say “market?”  Anywho, just my “radical” opinion.

What??? No above ground parking at Sendiks??  At least one of those new Robot parking garages.  Can't we be more upscale in Franklin??

The access to the underground parking is via the storage sheds separating Sendiks from FOF.

And hey, I voted for Ronald Reagan, so I think that makes me part of the club. Unfortunatly only Kevin is old enough to have voted for Richard Nixon.

Anyways, that's over and done with, but back in the day (I'm only 22 but I like to say back in the day) I would have voted for Dubya I also.

We are off topic but since I moderate this blog, I will allow it.

Bryan, I am old enough to remember, while riding my bike, the busses on Mitchell Street with the ads that read, "NIXON'S THE ONE."

Even though I was too young to vote, those ads stuck in my head. That was before cable and the Internet. Nixon won quite easily.

OK, you're part of the club.
