John McCain: Pro and con

It’s becoming clear that John McCain has the momentum to be the Republican nominee for President.

Here are two distinctly different views on John McCain by two conservatives.

Pro.

Con.

John McCain is scary, an unpredictable maverick who delights in stabbing true conservative Republicans in the back.
I fear many conservatives who hold true to their values will stay home in November rather than vote for a RINO. That helps Democrats immensely.

It's evident why our "local" RINO likes McCain so much.

Hmmm..If McCain makes it, this might be a good time for the Reform party to re-emerge.  I heard Ross Perot does not think highly of McCain.

I disagree.  He stabs Conservatives in the back.  Obviously, "Republicans" are not always Conservatives.

McPain will lead the (R) party to another crushing defeat--because the Conservative vote, about 10% of the country, will not show up in November.

I disagree.  The thought of Clinton or Obama as President will trump all the sour grapes going on right now.  The threat of Democrats in the oval office usually gets the "conservatives" to the polls.  That being said, if Obama gets out of next Tuesday, he's most likely your next President regardless.

Not so fast, Josh....

I just may agree with your assessment of getting conservatives to the polls; but not so fast on Obama.

I still won't vote for him.

Man...I'm having some sort of attack just thinking about all of this....not unlgued...geez, I think I'm lightheaded!  Is that a hot flash??  No...not that....

Who knows...maybe it will hinge on who the VP selection is...

In the meantime, come next January, I may stock up on tuna, plastic sheeting and duct tape....you know, for that step backwards that we might be taking.
