I kid you not.

SOMEWHAT RELATED STORY:
And in this case, there's no committee to refer the name back to.

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IN THE 2008  BEST IN FRANKLIN-AREA DINING SURVEY

Technically, the Walworth County Board of Supervisors and the 15 School Districts of Walworth County were awarded the INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION AWARD.

The cities of Franklin and Oak Creek received “HONORABLE MENTION” in this category for Joint Cooperative Planning of the South 27th Street Corridor.

It’s like catching the bride’s bouquet at a wedding.

Just sayin’.

Kevin:

Help me understand.

You don't like the name, so now the entire effort is no longer worthy?  Should we no longer cooperate and work with Oak Creek because of a choice of name?  We don't rate credit for the coordinated zoning, the road planning or any of the other cooperative work that's being done?  How about the monumental task of working with no less than 4 or 5 DIFFERENT planning groups at the DOT to get a unified design for 27th Street?

The work that Oak Creek and Franklin are doing together is noteworthy and a good thing.  Both communities will benefit tremendously.  Being recognized for the efforts is also a good thing no matter if it is just the bouquet.

Maybe I can help.

The Cities of Franklin and Oak Creek received their honorable mention recognition.  Congratulations.

Excuse me if I don't see fit to fawn all over elected officials for doing what they were elected to do; you guys do a great job of that all by yourselves, as you’ve shown in your comment.

What's that old saying?

You don't throw the baby out with the bath water?

Despite some blunders, the overall project must and can be salvaged.
