This Just In...

If it walks like a liberal and talks like a liberal...

On last night’s edition of InterCHANGE on Channel 10, Joel McNally scoffed at Gerard Randall and my criticisms of sellout Scott McClellan, the former Press Secretary to President Bush who has written a scathing book about the Administration, now that he’s longer on the team.

In his feeble attempt to fight back on last night’s program, Joel pulled out the debate gem that just because McClellan wrote something that Gerard and I didn’t agree with, then we assume McClellan must be a liberal.

Well, he sure sounds like one to me.

I wish there were more "sellouts" out there telling us what was really going on with our elected officials from either party. To me, people like McClellan and Lyndee Woodliffe who exposed the illegal campaign activities of both parties at the State Capitol, are courageous people who saw something wrong and spoke up. I would admire someone just as much if they worked in Governor Doyle's office who did the same thing. Don't ask don't tell is no way to run a government and why vulgar practices like corruption, domestic abuse, etc. continue.

I beg to differ with your assessment of Lyndee Woodliffe, the former Lyndee Wall.

Courageous?

Saw something wrong and spoke up?

No way.

She was a member of one of the now defunct party caucuses that didn't speak up until she had a bad break up with her boyfriend, a member of the state Assembly.

Then she "spoke up." She ran to the Wisconsin State Journal and squealed.

The State Journal, the pack of media hypocrites they were, wrote about a scandal.........after the same paper had used the caucuses for years and years to help them write political stories.

Rick, find a better role model/ poster child for clean government than Lyndee, the woman scorned.

I'd be glad to have a better role model. Scott? Chuck? Can you name someone from EACH party?

Kevin Fischer

Sure, Rick.  I could name you dozens from each party. The overwhelming majority of public servants is made up of honest, decent, law-abiding well-intentioned people who never get involved in scandals.
