Prior to last week’s debate between John McCain and Barack Obama, I blogged, “As usual, the key issue in the campaign pertains to pocketbooks. McCain must paint Barack Obama as the outrageous tax and spend liberal that he is. When Obama counters that under his plan, 95% of Americans will get a tax break, McCain must fire back that most of those people don’t pay taxes, so Obama is, in effect, promising welfare checks.”
Don’t be fooled by Obama. His tax plan would, just as he wants to, increase taxes. The Wall Street Journal has the breakdown.
